This calculator allows you to convert between metric and imperial units for pump mechanical power. There are worked examples at the bottom of the page.
Brake Horsepower to Kilowatts
Quickly convert from Kilowatts to Brake Horsepower using this following calculator
Kilowatts to Brake Horsepower
Convert from Brake Horsepower to Kilowatts using the calculator below
Converting from kW to BHP
A 10kW pump would covert to 13.41BHP
Calculation = 10 kW ÷ 0.745699872 = 13.41 BHP
Converting from BHP to kW
A 10 BHP pump would convert to 7.46kW
Calculation: 10 BHP x 0.745699872 = 7.46 kW
I will like to joint the engineering mindset to learn more.
I found all the notes and explanations you have given very interesting. More especially on inverters
I wish to know the deference between KVA and KW . And how to do the calculation
KVA is electrical input power taken by the motor and kw is output power available at the rotor shaft.
