Volume of a Cube

Because the Length, width and height of a cube are all the same length, the volume of a cube can be calculated using the following formula:

V = L³ or
V = W³ or
V = H³ or
V = L x W x H

Example

You’ve been asked to calculate the volume of a cube with a length of 5m, a width of 5m and a height of 5m.

V = L³ or W³ or H³
V = 5³
V = 125m³

Or
V = L x W x H
V = 5m x 5m x 5m
V = 25 x 5
V = 125m³
