The volume of a cone can be calculated using the following formula

Volume = (1÷3) x Π x r^{2} x h

Where:

Π = pI (3.14)

r = radius

h = height

## Example

You’ve been asked to calculate the volume of a cone when the radius is 5m and the height is 20m.

**V = (1÷3) x Π x r ^{2} x h**

**V = (1÷3) x Π x 5 ^{2} x 20**

**V = (0.3333) x 3.14 x 5 ^{2} x 20**

**V = (0.3333) x 3.14 x 25 x 20**

**V = 1.047 x 25 x 20**

**V = 26.175 x 20**

**V = 523.5m ^{3}**
